media & Digital storytelling
The Reel Story
In this workshop series, youth learn about digital storytelling with a focus on video production. They'll work together to learn what it takes to create a video from; script-writing/storyboarding, to setting up shots and using a camera, to editing it all together!
We will also explore stop motion animation, digital photography and an intro to design.
EmpowHER media
This workshop aims to open up safe discussions around gender based media. Some themes we explore are; how we can be more aware of what we are seeing? how does what we see make us feel? where do we see media that empowers us? etc.
At the end of the workshop the participants create a mini video based on what they've learned.
